In cooperation with the photo law magazine rechtambild.de, we are making an updated version of our handbook on photo law available here free of charge.
Practical reference book on photography law
Terms such as „right to one’s own image“ or „freedom of panorama“ are now familiar. In practice, however, we repeatedly find that both image creators and image users have considerable uncertainties about how they are applied in practice. We therefore want to provide an overview of the status quo and briefly explain the most important legal principles of photography.
The handbook currently covers the following topics, among others:
- Photographing people and objects,
- the rights of the photographer as the author,
- Rights of use and remuneration,
- Legal protection,
- Compensation and
- Model and property release
