How we work with foreign firms
- One contact, in English. You correspond with the attorney handling the file, not with a case management desk.
- Deadlines confirmed in writing. We confirm receipt of instructions and the applicable deadline in the same message, so your docket and ours match.
- Fixed fees where the work allows it. Filings, renewals and standard responses are quoted as fixed fees. Contentious matters are billed at hourly rates or under the German statutory fee schedule, agreed before we start.
- Reciprocity. We regularly instruct partner firms in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Türkiye and across Asia for our own clients, and we are glad to add reliable correspondents.
- No conflict with your client relationship. We act on your instructions and do not approach your clients directly.
