In electronic commerce, traders (in this specific case Amazon) are obliged, among other things, to provide consumers with the essential characteristics of the goods offered in a clear and comprehensible manner in a highlighted manner. These requirements are not met if the information can only be accessed via a link. Rather, the information must be located on the website on which the customer completes the order process. If the order is placed via a button, the information must be displayed in close proximity to the button for the order(OLG Munich, judgment of 31.01.2019 – 29 U 1582/18).
