Spare parts information by a car manufacturer on the Internet

A car manufacturer that provides potential users with an information portal on its website for a fee, on which they can search for vehicles by entering the vehicle identification number and find the original spare parts, satisfies its obligation to provide unrestricted and standardized access to repair and maintenance information in an easily and immediately accessible manner via the Internet using a standardized format, even if the information is not made available in a form that can be processed electronically (BGH, judgment of 30 January 2020, ref. I ZR 40/17).
